Flovor and aroma enhancers are substances that enhance, improve and stabilize the flavors and aromas of food products that are partially lost in processing or storage. These substances do not have a specific taste or aroma but have the properties of restoring, improving or stabilizing the taste and aroma qualities that are lost in various processes. Also, these substances can soften some undesirable components of taste or aroma.
According to the European system of classification of food additives, flavor and aroma enhancers are located between E600 and E699.
