Oleoresins and extracts

Oleoresins are obtained from herbs and spices by extraction method. They are more complex in composition than essential oils, and therefore are considered the best substitute for spices, especially when you need to convey not only the flavor but also the taste.

Extracts are concentrated substances extracted from a plant material or raw material of animal origin, available in forms of tinctures, absoulutes or in powder form. These substances are commonly used in the confectionery industry, in the baking of bread and cakes, in brewing (malt extracts).
